About Your Designer

I am a native of the Washington metropolitan area and grew up in Fort Washington, Maryland. When I was growing up, I was the kid who was forever rearranging my bedroom and at an early age had the wherewithal to know that due to the frequency of these moves, I should minimize my stuff. So, I would have “yard sales” in my room and sell my stuff to my siblings, birthing a young entrepreneur!

I graduated from Howard University in 1994 with a degree in Interior Design. After college I began my career as a Residential Lighting Consultant and after five years, I moved into marketing.

In 2000, I entered the federal government serving as a Space Management Specialist where I worked on minor and major commercial design alteration and construction management projects.

My entrepreneurial spirit empowered me to purchase my first real estate property in 2005 immediately becoming a landlord. My passion for real estate continued into 2010, when I purchased a rehab property where I designed and managed the entire rehab project acting as the project manager, superintendent, interior, lighting and landscape designer, and home stager during the entire six month renovation.

I am not just a stager, I consult on all aspects of property renovation and design. My vast education and experience has accumulated into knowledge in many aspects of interior design for which I have dubbed myself the “whole house designer”. In 2017, I decided to leave the rat race and pursue my passions – design and entrepreneurship, hence JST Real Estate Interiors. I want to share my knowledge and bring forth my mission to help turn houses into homes.
